She is adding some beading and off-the-shoulder silk sleeves to give it a touch of rustic and suit her own style and themed wedding day. Such a good idea!

That’s true Rhonda! I’m not planning on resuming my strict bridal fitness campaign in the future. A photo of us sitting in our unbuttoned bridal gowns eating cheese and drinking wine – now that might be more likely!

Thanks so much and what a great story about your gown!

Great idea but I’m not sure I would fit into mine in a few years, even now! Rhonda 🙂

Just yesterday my friends and I were joking that we’d all save ours, and one day in the future we’d all put them on and sit around drinking coctails! I also like the idea of altering it so I can wear it to uber special formal functions.

I sold my gown on stillwhite.com and was lucky enough to receive wedding photos from the bride who bought it. The dress travelled to the US and back for a gorgeous wedding; it was such a good feeling to know it was loved again!

I have also seen couples pull it out on their anniversary milestones and take another set of photos in it.

Thanks for your comment Amy 🙂 They are great points and I like the idea of keeping a dress until it becomes vintage!

My second comment – eBay investigation will show that great many dresses listed and often you will not get a marvellous return however spend the time to post great photos as so many do themselves a disservice and not promote the dress to its intended glory!
